The model AL-210 in-air light was designed for applications requiring very small size and weight, while maintaining high intensity and good scene illumination. The AL-210 operates on low voltage, which is often preferred for safety reasons. One of the primary applications for the AL-210 is for use with video cameras. With several bulb options, the optimum lamp can be chosen to provide good scene illumination and adequate beam pattern width to cover the camera field of view.

The AL-210 housing is anodized aluminum, and the bulb is held in place with a stainless steel retainer. Three standard bulb options are available. These provide beam patterns of 30, 20, or 8 degrees, each measured as the full angle to the half power (or intensity) points. The lamps are rated for use at 12 volts, and have a power rating of 35 Watts. Each of the lamps incorporates a highly efficient reflector.

Bulb changing is as simple as removing the stainless steel retaining ring and the bulb and replacing both. The sides of the lamp housing are slotted to facilitate bulb removal and replacement.
