The R-100 Single Axis Rotator is a versatile, compact, high torque unit ideally suited for demanding underwater or in-air applications. It can reliably handle a wide variety of camera, lighting or equipment packages.

Equipped with a low voltage, variable speed motor, the rotator’s scanning speed can be adjusted to match the task being performed. With a large speed range (approximately 0.3 RPM to 4.0 RPM), the camera and lights can be rapidly moved into position or slowly scanned during detailed high magnification inspections. The unit is also suitable for remote, valve actuation or underwater motorization of equipment. The unit is supplied with a field removable limit stop on the mounting plate. This provides a scan range of +/- 175 degrees. With the limit stop removed, the unit has bi-directional continuous rotation.

The R-100 housing and external components are made of corrosion resistant 300 series stainless steel. The unit is sealed for underwater use to 200 feet and for easy decontamination. Multiple bearings are used to support the output shaft, and quad ring rotating shaft seals are used for high sealing reliability. All components are radiation tolerant and reliable. The modular design allows for easy maintenance or component replacement.
