The R-200 Rotator is a versatile, compact, high torque (25 foot pounds) unit ideally suited for demanding underwater or in-air applications. It can reliably handle a wide variety of camera, lighting or equipment packages.

Equipped with a low voltage, variable speed motor, the rotator’s scanning speed (0.1 to 1.2 RPM) can be adjusted to match the task being performed.

The R-200 is equipped with a high resolution encoder to provide angular reference information which can be recorded together with the TV image. The encoder is used to provide a rotation limit stop which can be reset electrically at the controller. The availability of angular feedback information also provides reference information to document operations and lends itself well to computer controlled procedures.

The R-200 housing and external components are made of corrosion resistant hard anodized aluminum. The unit is sealed for underwater use to 200 feet and for easy decontamination. Multiple bearings are used to support the output shaft, and a quad ring rotating shaft seal is used for high sealing reliability. All components are radiation tolerant and reliable. The modular design allows for easy maintenance or component replacement.
