UNDERWATER AND IN-AIR LIGHT
The UL-220-LED light is suitable for use both underwater and in air. It is intended for applications requiring high intensity, and where low voltage operation is preferred for safety.
The UL-220-LED uses a long life (25,000 hours), low power, dimmable LED bulb mounted in a stainless-steel housing with a non-browning fused silica window. The underwater depth rating is 200 feet.
The light has a beam pattern of 15 or 25 degrees to the half-intensity points depending on the bulb installed. These high intensity beams should be ideal for longer distance (20-30 feet) underwater inspections. For example, if two 15-degree lights are used underwater with the RCS-2110-HD camera, at 20 feet viewing distance the lights will provide about 330 times the minimum illumination (0.5 lux) specified for the camera. At 30 feet they will provide about 80 times the minimum. The underwater illumination for several viewing distances is shown in the following chart for both the 15 and the 25-degree lights.
With the very long lifetime, bulb changing should be infrequent. If needed, simply unscrew the front section of the housing, replace the bulb, and replace the front housing section.
